Mission Statement

The mission is to give lifelong progression of sport programs for persons of all ages, races, and creeds to enhance the physical, mental and moral development of amateur athletes, and to promote good sportsmanship, good citizenship and safety.

Maine Hoop's mission is to provide as many opportunities to as many kids a possible to participate in events. By sponsoring teams one of Maine Hoop's goals is to provide access to all kids to participate in events.

Maine Hoops also provides direct scholarship opportunities to the most needy of athletes, so athletes who truly want to participate will not be denied, due to lack of money.

In 2004-2005 over 2000 young men and women from the State of Maine participated in Maine Hoops  Basketball events.

Close to 1000 athletes from across New England participate in Maine Hoops events.
